A private cloud utilizes and distributes data through a company's own computer software. These systems run off one main hard drive and virtually channel information between computers. Clouds link important business processes in multiple departments and keep everyone's files up to date. Companies can access their information and data with more control over the use and where it may end up.
An advantage of using private clouds is the secure network. The enterprise's files are more private because their data is kept within business administrators. With no third party sources, the threat of valuable information getting leaked is lessened and dictated by the company. These clouds usually do not have internet access and are protected by strong firewalls. Using a private cloud, enterprises can create unique software to fit the needs of the company. They won't waste money changing files to fit "standardized programming." As businesses grow and develop flexible, private systems can grow with them.
Think of a time you needed to get valuable information to other family members. Speaking to everyone in person or on the phone is more controlled and private than making a Facebook announcement (which is public) or sending an email (using a third party source). You know who was told what directly and by who. You and other members share information amongst each other rooting from one main person.

I think there are some other benefits of using private cloud computing that we need to discuss further such as: cost reduction, enhancing service quality, and, more importantly, reducing the time it takes to deliver what users demand.
ReplyDeleteCost savings are driven by standardization or automation of services or IT computer resources.
It is absolutely crucial for the quality of cloud services delivered by IT to be superior to the current model.

Private cloud computing is cost efficient in similar ways of public cloud computing. It is cheaper to use these IT services once the money is invested in these resources and it improves the quality by keeping every department on the same page with updates to the system. There is a time reduction to information because data is no longer manual and each department can easily access it.
DeleteCloud Computing is the new big thing, and it should be. I just hope that it's as safe and private as it needs to be. I know when Apple first came out with iCloud, I didn't like the idea of my pictures being stored on a separate server off of my phone. I like the fact that you can store your apps, phone settings and stuff like that, but I just hope that they don't abuse the access to the information that they have from us.

I first came into contact with cloud anything because of amazon. i did not realize how big cloud computing was until taking this class. The fact that firms are using this technology is even more interesting, no wonder computers are much smaller each year. i lke the analogy of private computer in connection to sending a meassage to a family member, it made it easier to relate and understand.

To be honest I hardly knew anything about cloud computing before this managent information systems class. I think that this business cloud computing would be very helpful and it sounds secure enough to input important information on it with little worry about it getting stolen. I like how the information is updated automatically keeping everyone involved on track with what is going on. I am interested to see how this technology will change in the future for both better and worse. Hopefully, it better for the most part.
